Taiwan Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH)
Travel and Ground Transport
While Kaohsiung International Airport does not provide passengers with a large variety of ground transfer options, it has excellent bus services provided by a range of companies which cover a good selection of Kaohsiung destinations.
Unless you are being collected by a hotel shuttle, the only alternative transport option is to take a taxi, which are charged by meter or an agreed fare.
Bus services provided by a variety of companies operate between the airport and Kaohsiung Railway Station as well as to various downtown destinations. Chungnan Bus Company operates a route that begins at Kaohsiung Railway Station before calling at the airport and then eventually concluding at Eluanbi. Meanwhile, Pintung Bus Company offers a route that also begins at the train station, calling at the airport and concluding at Kenting; Koukung Bus Company runs a similar route also concluding at Kenting. Finally, Kaohsiumg Bus Company operates a service from the airport to Kaoshung, Wangshenming road and finally to Fengshan Railway Station.
Kaohsiung's reputable hotels such as the Ambassador, China Trust, Evergreen and the Grand Hi Lai invariably offer vehicles to transfer guests from the airport to their establishments. Check with your travel agent or contact your hotel directly to ascertain whether a courtesy vehicle will be provided on your arrival at the airport.
Taxis are available in several locations at Kaohsiung International Airport. Metered taxis can be taken from a boarding area situated on the west side of both terminal buildings, while private hire cars, where the fee is generally agreed before the journey commences, are available curbside at both terminals.
